Disc Herniations

Interverterbal discs are a jelly like substance that acts as our spine’s shock absorbing system, which protects our vertebrae, brain and nerves. One of the most common injuries to this area is a “herniated disc.” With this spinal dysfunction, the disc is weakened and protrudes into our spinal canal, compressing our spinal cord and nerves. Symptoms associated with a herniated disc include neck or back pain and numbness and tingling in limbs. Other types of disc disorders include degenerative disc disease, cervical or lumbar disc degeneration, spinal arthritis and spondylosis. We specialize in the Cox technique, which is a well documented chiropractic adjustment that decompresses the affected space and helps heal the spine properly.
